Preach, Reach, and Teach Ministries
“Preaching the Word of God, so the lost can know and the saved
will grow.”
Statement of Faith
Preamble
Preach, Reach, and Teach Ministries exists to glorify God by advancing His Kingdom through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We affirm the Bible as the final authority for faith and practice and hold these doctrines as the foundation of our ministry.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible—both Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is the complete revelation of His will for humanity and the ultimate authority for faith, conduct, and doctrine.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11; Hebrews 4:12)
The Nature of God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence, coequal in power and glory, and coeternal in being.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 10:30)
God the Father
We believe God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He initiates salvation through His Son and desires relationship with His creation.
(Genesis 1:1; John 3:16; Ephesians 1:3–6)
God the Son — Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for believers. He will return personally and visibly in power and glory.
(John 1:1–14; Luke 1:34–35; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Hebrews 7:25)
God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin (unbelief in Jesus) and unrighteousness, but convicts believers of righteousness in Christ. For those who believe are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. He reminds them of their righteous standing before God through Jesus. For unbelievers, He convicts them through the preaching of the Word of God of their need for a savior by revealing their sin and the coming judgment. Upon salvation gifts are giving to the believer so God can be glorified, believers can be edified, and unbelievers can be saved.
John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:7–13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Romans 8:9–16
Humanity and the Fall
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing spiritual death and separation from God. All people are born with a sinful nature and are in need of salvation through Christ.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12–19; Ephesians 2:1–3)
Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but is entirely dependent on God’s mercy. True faith results in repentance and new life in the Spirit.
(John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
The Church
We believe the universal Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The local church is a visible expression of that Body, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, service, and mission.
(Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 1:22–23)
The Ordinances
We believe Jesus instituted two ordinances for His Church: Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism symbolizes identification with Christ’s death and resurrection, while the Lord’s Supper commemorates His sacrifice and proclaims His return.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
The Christian Life
We believe God calls every believer to live a holy life empowered by the Spirit, walking in love, humility, and obedience to His Word.
(Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–25; Ephesians 4:1–3; 1 Peter 1:15–16)
The Second Coming and Eternal Destiny
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ. The righteous will be resurrected to eternal life, and the unrighteous to eternal separation from God.
(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15; Matthew 25:31–46)
Marriage, Family, and Human Life
We believe God created humanity male and female and established marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman. The family is the foundation of society, designed to nurture, faith, and love. We also affirm the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death.
(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:22–33; Hebrews 13:4; Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5)
The Great Commission
We believe it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations. We must go and tell.
(Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13–15)
The Kingdom of God
We believe the Kingdom of God is both a present spiritual reality and a future hope, advancing through the power of the Holy Spirit until Christ’s return.
(Matthew 6:33; Luke 17:20–21; Romans 14:17; Revelation 11:15)
Closing Affirmation
This Statement of Faith expresses the foundational beliefs of Preach, Reach, and Teach Ministries. All leaders, members, and partners are expected to affirm and live by these truths under the authority of Scripture and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
(Jude 24–25)
